HSV Jackaroo #045 Resurfaces

Last seen back in 2008, HSV Jackaroo #045 has finally resurfaced after 17 long years.

When it was last sighted, the vehicle carried some damage on the driver’s side, with the front right fairing held together by duct tape. Information was scarce, only that the car was located somewhere in Victoria. Because of its disappearance, and the lack of traceable history, I made it a rule that my records would only track sightings from 2018 onwards. This gave the clearest and most reliable picture of what vehicles remained, based mostly on marketplace listings and Facebook posts.

Fast forward to 2025, and #045 has emerged once again, this time in Western NSW. Incredibly, after nearly two decades, the car still bears the same taped-up fairing and battle scars it carried in 2008. The good news? It’s now undergoing restoration.

Oddly, this vehicle has both the Holden badge on the bonnet and the HSV badge on the grill. This is the first vehicle added to the database that isnt an SE with this setup for the badges on the front of the vehicle.
